CONCEPT «GAME» IN HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CONTEXT

Annotation

The article analyses concept «game» in Russian and Belarusian culture. The authors suggest understanding of game as means of training and education, as aesthetic and socio-cultural phenomenon. On the basis of language studying model (V.V. Kolesov), the authors prove importance to research concept «game» as reflecting cognitive aspects of words, characteristics of a language sign connected with its primordial assignment and system of cultural values of native speakers.
