SOCIAL INCLUSION OF ORPHAN-STUDENTS IN A HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT

Annotation

The article provides the results of investigating social inclusion of orphan-students in a higher educational establishment. On the basis of case study, the system of work with orphan-students is described. The author reveals their inclusion possibilities into different social subsystems. Social inclusion of children from guardian families turns out to be easier than that of former inmates of orphanages. Orphans raised in guardian families are more successful in studies, they have fewer disciplinary problems, and they begin their working career later and choose work according to their profession. To overcome social exclusion graduates of children’s homes need support of the teachers and inmates of the orphanages where they grew up, support of their fellow students and teachers of a higher educational establishment.
