Annotation

This article presents the results of the research expanding the theory of pedagogics with knowledge of tendencies and prospects of children’s education improvement. It reveals and substantiates socio-cultural guidelines of the system of artistic education (applied education, enrichment of the artistic school environment and the surrounding society). The conclusions and recommendations contained in the article promote improvement of the educational process at children’s art schools and its socio-cultural orientation.
