NEW MEANINGS OF THE HUMANITIES IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

Annotation

The article is devoted to the role of the Humanities in training modern technical elite in technical higher educational establishments. The author stresses that the Humanities have often been underestimated by lecturers of major subjects, which resulted in them being neglected. The article reveals the role of the Humanities in developing a modern engineer able to solve scientific and technical issues taking into account moral, civic, esthetic, ethic and other humanistic values of engineering.
