Annotation

The article looks at the problems of the Russian language teacher professional competence in a multinational class or school. The author characterises the competence approach to teachers’ professional training and describes abilities underlying professional competence of modern Russian Language teachers in polyethnic schools. The article suggests the analysis of the structure and content of the Russian Language teacher’s professional competence in polyethnic schools. The analysis resulted in the development of a methodological system of the Russian Language teachers’ professional skills improvement. The author also reveals the stages of this process as well as substantial components of the teacher’s competence.
