Annotation

The article considers the problem of development of cognitive activities and factors of the cognitive interest in an individual. The author stresses the necessity of cognitive skills development, which can be explained by new higher requirements to the education quality at the modern stage of democracy. The goals and values of the educational system have changed completely, and students’ personal development and development of their scholastic and cognitive skills are priorities now, as they ensure the success of education at the following stages of continuous education.
