Annotation

Educational process in modern higher educational institutions should be considered not only as a way of specializing in a certain area, but also as a way of familiarizing of a student with a certain culture. The article explains the necessity of interaction of education and culture with a view of preparation of a teacher able to work in a multicultural environment. The author reveals functions of a modern teacher in the context of the culturological approach and possibilities of realization of multicultural pedagogical education and its influence on the development of professionally significant qualities of future teachers.
