Annotation

The article explores general characteristics of traditional forms of art creativity of the people living in the multinational republic, a combination of factors of adaptation to the environment with factors of ethnic tradition of the autochthonic and borrowed components in the general development of fine arts of Karachai-Cherkess. The researcher looks into the process of development of art activities in the region. The results of the research will be used in the further research work on developing students art-graphic faculties’ students’ abilities in higher educational establishments, pedagogical colleges, children’s art schools, comprehensive schools, etc. The practical value of the research is realised in the development of bibliographic and art criticism materials, programs, courses of lectures, methodological recommendations aimed at development of students’ art abilities.
