Annotation

The article analyses the experience of competent approach to the choice of structural materials in automobile industry in training professional education teachers specializing in “Automobiles and Vehicle Fleet” at the Technology and Entrepreneurship Department of the Southern Federal University Pedagogical Institute. The authors look at structural materials used abroad and stress the necessity of implementing new structural materials in Russia. The article also suggests a block diagram for the choice of structural materials for a separate element. This may help improve the students’ motivation to their professional training.
