Annotation

The article deals with socio-cultural and linguistic aspects of familiarizing children of preschool age with the regional culture of the Transbaikalia Area. Different approaches to the concept of regional culture and some distinctive features of the regional culture of the Transbaikalia Area are examined in this article. The article cites certain data of the experimental research carried out in a preschool establishment of Mogoytui. The author also pays attention to the problem of children’s Buryat-Russian bilingualism influencing preschool children familiarizing with the regional culture of the Transbaikalia Area.
