ON HUMANITARIAN VALUES OF SCHOOL MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION

Annotation

Nowadays more and more attention is paid to humanitarian disciplines at schools. There are schools with in-depth study of a number of humanitarian subjects in senior classes. In this connection it seems vital to determine the value of mathematical education not only in general education or mathematical classes, but also in humanitarian ones. On the basis of the retrospective analysis of the content of the concept “humanitarian”, the article reveals the modern understanding of the humanitarian value of school mathematical education, and its components, such as applied, aesthetic, intellectual, cultural and creative.
