Annotation

The article is devoted to characteristics of professional development stages of a lecturer of higher technical school. The author also describes special features and contradictions of psychological pedagogical competence development, factors and conditions which determine high level of professional achievement. The author arrives at the conclusion that lecturers who learn the subject in an empiric way without basic pedagogical training experience a lot of difficulties in the process of teaching students. At the same time low degree of psychological pedagogical competence development interferes with harmonious professional development as well as with creative self-actualization of a lecturer in his educational work.
