Annotation

The article considers the structure of competitiveness of the higher educational institutions and its criteria. The authors define indicators of competitiveness of the university and key factors leading to successful competition. Prospects of strategic development of the university and factors preventing from high quality training of specialists are also considered by the authors. In the conclusion, the article states that competitiveness depends on the competitive advantages of three levels and interaction of resource, operational and strategic factors. The authors emphasize the fact that only the combination of these factors as part of project for strategic competitiveness development of the university can ensure its success.
