INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH OF THE CONCEPT «SPEECH» IN PSYCHOLOGICAL-PEDAGOGICAL SCIENCE

Annotation

The significant amount of research works, devoted to the concept “speech” in various sciences, show that today there is no uniform definition to this concept. In many proceedings, our native authors use such terms as «language», «speech», «speech activity» as synonyms, replacing each other. The purpose of the given research is to draw a distinction between concepts «speech» and «language» from the position of various sciences and to make an outline of the basic unresolved problems under study in the given area. The theoretical analysis allowed the authors to state that today the concept «speech» has no unified definition, and the concept “speech activity” is presented in the scientific literature as a wider structure, including both «speech», and «language» (linguistic abilities) as the whole and its parts. Accor ding to the authors, the question concerning genesis of speech development requires further studying, especially speech ontogenesis during the first year of a child
