ORIGINS OF ADULTS’ GENERAL EDUCATION COUNTY MODEL IN RUSSIA OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX-TH CENTURY

Annotation

The article provides the results of retrospective analysis of general education of adults according to the county model in Russia, second half of XIX century. The author singles out basic tendencies of «including» county establishments in the solution of the general education problem of adult population and factors causing it. Special attention is given to development of various models of county educational and cultural establishments for adults. Additionally, the author touches upon the process of initial awareness by county officials of distinctive features of teaching adults, being specific in terms of organizational, procedural and target-setting aspects.
