Annotation

The purpose of the article is to provide theoretical and methodological grounds for professional mentality studying. The author puts forward the following problems: 1) to reveal methodological essence of the approach as scientific category; 2) to allocate features of the mental approach as the basic principle of professional education. The article brings to the focus the fact that during higher school educational process it is necessary to help students to understand their aspirations, professional ideals, value orientations, to see their vocation in the future trade and sense of activity and life as a whole, to show them their personal professional prospects, to outline vectors for future professional development. All these issues become possible to be achieved while implementing the specified approaches.
