CONCEPT “INTEREST” IN FOREIGN PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE

Annotation

The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical projection of the concept “interest” in the history of foreign pedagogical thought. The authors state and give detailed description to the premises and background information determining the way how leading representatives of foreign pedagogy deal with the issue of cognitive needs development. In the frame of leading approaches to the problem of interest in the XIX - beginning of the XX century, the authors allocate pedagogically significant factors that provide orientation of the taught personalities on the comprehension of main purposes of their cognitive activity. The article also presents estimation of conceptual approaches to the problem of interest in training and practice of their implementation in teacher’s professional activity.
