DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL SKILLS OF GYMNASIA TEACHERS IN PRE-REVOLUTIONARY BELARUS

Annotation

Efficiency of educational process greatly depends on professional skills of the teacher. Historical pedagogical reconsideration of the problem is meant to assist in working out new ways for its development. The article presents historical pedagogical analysis of the issue under study in pre-revolutionary grammar schools of Belarus. The author refers to historical pedagogical literature and materials of archival sources of Vilenskiy educational district and reveals and describes main directions in formation and perfection of professional skills of gymnasia teachers. The author lays special emphasis on the teacher and his/her exceptional role in the organization and providing teaching and educational processes during the considered period.
