ROLE OF MOTIVATION IN DEVELOPING TOLERANCE TO ACTIVITY IN EXTREME CONDITIONS

Annotation

The article is devoted to the research of factors of tolerance to activity in extreme situations. The author notes that the structure of motivational sphere of the subject acts as an integrated parameter of personal tolerance. According to the author, nowadays structure of military men’s motivation undergoes certain changes, there is a shift from wide social motives (patriotism, ideals of good and justice, love to the Native land) to motives of collectivism and personal intentions (respect of colleagues, material welfare, etc.). Considering high incentive force of social motives, it is obvious that their insufficient character in the motive structure of military men narrows opportunities of their inducement for professional work. The article shows that the applied means, methods, forms of psychological influence enable to reach an optimum level of tolerance of military men to activity in extreme conditions.
