ENCOURAGING SOCIAL FUNCTIONING OF TEENAGERS WITH HEARING DISORDERS

Annotation
The given research is devoted to studying features and techniques aimed at encouraging social functioning of deaf and hearing-impaired teenagers, their inquiry for some advisory help. The article also deals with the process of professional interaction between a teacher and a school psychologist. The author describes the results of formative experiment, specifies distinctions between senior and younger teenagers socialization. The younger teenage period is defined as sensitive period for the beginning of specially aimed work on encouraging social functioning. The author considers rational cognitive-behavioral methods to be the most effective for the given age.Key words
