DEVELOPING IMPROVISATION SKILLS AS THE CONDITION FOR EDUCATING TEENAGERS IN A DRAMA SCHOOL

Annotation

The article deals with the acute issues in education, such as educating teenagers by means of theatrical art. The author believes that the most necessary condition for education is developing improvisation skills which promote successful adaptation of a teenager in the rapidly changing modern world. Improvisation skill is defined as a complex activity which is developed when the subject of this activity possesses certain operations at a sufficient level. These operations are connected with the kinds of activity displayed during improvisation (communicative, creative, behavioral), and are formed by means of some skills. The article provides description of a certain skills set necessary for developing improvisation. The author defines some criteria for evaluating improvisation skills development of drama school pupils.
