Annotation

The article deals with characteristic features of educational process in the higher school, aimed at implementation of competence-based approach in higher educational establishments. The author dwells on the issue on changes of quality of pedagogical activity of teachers and cognitive activity of students. The article also deals with the problem of expanding social partnership between higher schools in connection with the introduction of new generation of National Standards in Education.
