SOCIAL-CULTURAL CRISIS AND PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF ETHNO-GENESIS THEORY

Annotation

The article deals with development of a personality in the context of ethno-genesis theory under conditions of social-cultural crisis. The author presents classification of social-cultural crises according to their duration and intensity. It is noted that the ethno-genesis theory enables to have a fresh look both at ethnic system and objective processes proceeding in ethnos. The article also includes analysis of historical development of the Chechen ethnos. The author draws a conclusion that, contrary to existing opinion, presence of tukhums and teips does not separate the Chechen ethnos, but, on the contrary, strengthens it, makes it more flexible, steady and, thus, creates conditions for developing highly spiritual personality, capable to adapt in the rapidly changing world, open to interaction with other cultures, i.e. ethno-cultural person.
