VALUE ORIENTATIONS TRANSFORMATION OF REGIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Annotation

Construction of democratic state demands certain ideological and moral reference points. Therefore, value orientations of youth came to interest the Russian society again. According to the author, special attention should be given to value orientations of regional youth for consolidation of all Russian people. Due to ethnic diversity of the population and regional instability in the Northern Caucasus, in Dagestan particularly, the article dwells on the unique features in value preferences of this area. The author provides an example of work of university departments of Dagestan State University specifying possible forms, methods and directions of productive educational work in three directions: diagnostics, transformations and practical application of value orientations of youth.
