STAGES OF THE CATEGORY "FREEDOM" DEVELOPMENT IN NATIONAL PEDAGOGY AND EDUCATION

Annotation

The article deals with the results of historical research of stages of the category "freedom" development in national pedagogy. The authors consider freedom both as a phenomenon, i.e. pedagogical phenomenon, and as a category, i.e. the generalized pedagogical concept. Transformation of the category "freedom" in pedagogy of Russia as part of development and changes of historical formations is shown. The authors describe some features of the category "freedom" in the context of humanistic pedagogy: abstract, practical, universal and social humanism.
