BUDDHIST TRADITIONS IN KALMYK CULTURE

Annotation

The article is devoted to ethno-pedagogy where Buddhist ideas in personality education are used. Key issues of these ideas refer to person’s own mentality in order to search for the reasons of happiness, misfortune, comprehension of deep morals, love to all alive, knowledge of reality, freedom from stereotypes. Moral postulates of Kalmyk culture: khudl (lie), kilnts (sin), etc. are considered through Buddhism that promotes knowledge of cultural tradition, ethical self-discipline, analysis of intellectual and emotional spheres.
