Annotation

Basing on the analysis of key researches in the given domain, the article raises the problem of preparing a new type of administrative workers, in particular, tourism managers. The authors present some ways to describe an expert: a portrait, professiongram, qualifying characteristic, and model. The article describes the model of a future tourism manager and its structure including the following components: knowledge (cultural, psychological, and special); skills (communicative, organizational, forecasting, design, control and correctional); personal qualities (organizational, intellectual, motivation and will, business qualities) and professional position.
