Annotation

The article is devoted the necessity of modernization in the system higher voca­tional training, modernization priorities of pedagogical education of university type, its mission, function of university in the system of modern Russian higher education. The article emphasizes urgent need to modernize the system of pedagogical staff preparation in the innovative university environment. Speaking about priorities of pedagogical education modernization in terms of university, the author makes an attempt to reveal the factors causing it being oriented at achieving high quality.
