COGNITIVE APPROACH IN PREPARING INTERPRETERS OF MULTINATIONAL REPUBLICS

Григорьева Ольга Владимировна

Annotation

In the modern society where international affairs constantly develop, the need for highly skilled experts with the knowledge of foreign languages, translators or interpreters, in particular, has sharply increased. The article touches upon the problem of preparing translators in multinational republics where additional feature in studying a foreign language is mobile subordinate national-Russian bilingualism. In terms of cognitive approach, translating activity is considered as a complex intellectual process, described by variability and processing of the information, its comparison to the accumulated linguistic and extra-linguistic knowledge. It is difficult enough to define, which influence is rendered to the greatest degree, it depends on the level of mastering the first (in order of learning) of the foreign languages. It is obvious that positive (transfer) and negative (interference) influence of both languages on the studied third (foreign) language can be observed.

Key words

cognitive approach, subordinate bilingualism, transfer, interference.
