PREPARATION OF EXPERTS IN ESTIMATING LEVEL OF ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Annotation

Testing communicative competence in terms of productive kinds of speech activity - writing and speaking - is rather important part of estimating general foreign language skills, according to the author. Test experts, both theorists and practical specialists, admit that such tests are a matter of certain difficulties for them. The purpose of the given paper is to reveal ways to improve quality of expert estimation of oral speech, basing on the analysis of researches in the given area. The author states that good preparation of experts in this sphere needs thoroughly developed practical training in which experts use special rating scales to estimate a number of tests of different levels and then analyze the received results.
