SOCIAL INITIATIVES AS CONDITION FOR DEVELOPING CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS IN CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Annotation

The article deals with some topical issues of modern childhood. The civil culture is reflection of the variety of public life and a civic competence, as the author puts it. It has decisive influence on the social status of a citizen. Social initiatives which actively engage children and youth in various social practices, forming rational and responsible civil behavior, are of special significance, according to the article. Traditions of children movement are sources of positive development as subjects of civil society. The article touches upon children social movement from the past to the future, as well as youth and children initiatives as experience of civic consciousness.
