Annotation

The article provides proof to the issue that mastering a foreign language becomes one of the most important problems of training specialists of new level in higher educational institutions. The author convincingly shows that foreign language as the object of teaching has certain specific features which need to be considered in academic process. The author emphasizes the fact that development of foreign-language reality takes place on the basis of the created mechanisms of speech activity in the native language, relies on the available language competence, cognitive structures and knowledge about the native culture. It is shown that learning foreign languages has positive influences on the inner world of a person, allows to feel competent, promotes integration with other cultures. The article proves that success in foreign language acquisition is determined by a set of factors: motivational, emotional, cognitive, personal, psychophysiological and interactive ones.
