MASTER OF ARTS COURSE AS EXISTENCE

Annotation

The article deals with Master of Arts courses seen as an educational phenomenon in the light of the category of existence. The author characterizes the main prerequisites for an adequate choice of Master’s program: its image, structure, communicative dialogue with the head, specific abilities and reflexive character of the choice made. The author offers to change the period of studies at MA courses from two years to three years. Academic process is referred to as scientific and ontological (the first year), professional and ontological (the second year) and practical (the third year). Existence is understood as transition from the deep competency-based feeling of following one’s vocation while gaining bachelor’s degree to the deep competency-based service experienced during MA courses.
