Annotation

As for conceptual grounds of historical education, the authors of the article mention the following issues: development of people of Russia in the unity of their common destiny, preservation of integrity of historical consciousness of the Russian people, development of historical world view of pupils. The concept “historical education” is treated as the kind of education that develops historical consciousness of pupils, their historical picture of the world on the basis of ideas about development of mankind. It also covers the Russian civil identity and the system of historical and cultural knowledge acquired in learning. The authors also mention skills of independent creative work with historical material, dialogue with fellow citizens, people of other epochs and nationalities, judgments of modern problems in the context of historical knowledge, social competencies based on historical experience of social interaction, the main national values, spiritual and cultural historical traditi
