HIRING STAFF: PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPONENT IN WORK OF A MANAGER

Annotation

The article shows that the modern process of staff hiring is based on studying certain features of an applicant: social and demographic, medical, educational, psychological, and actually professional. The author feels sure that a manager should be able to reveal the qualities significant for successful performance of this or that activity, to estimate correctly professional qualification and mental potential of applicants, to define the reasons of possible problems in due time, to estimate prospects of professional growth. The author supports the idea that ability to reveal, estimate and compare job requirements and personal qualities of an applicant, in many respects, depends on psychological competence of the manager.
