ENSURING EDUCATION QUALITY IN RUSSIA IN THE CONTEXT OF THE GLOBAL TRENDS

Annotation

The article is devoted to the modern situation in the system of higher education considered globally and locally. The authors state that pedagogical or teacher-training education is of special importance for the development of the whole educational system in Russia. The article deals with the category of quality management in relation to higher education and describes the key principles of the system of quality assurance applied at Southern Federal University. The system “teacher - students -employer” being the object of quality management has proved to be quite effective means of quality assurance.
