SOCIO-CULTURAL FOCUS OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN HIGHER SCHOOL AS A HUMANITARIAN ISSUE

Annotation

According to the requirements of the Federal State Standards of Higher Education the Russian federation, socio-cultural practice of students should be realized in educational process of higher vocational school. Traditionally these are considered as non-learning kinds of activity carried out as a part of volunteer movement and charity. All of them lie beyond curriculum, are only formally connected with theoretical preparation and involve insignificant number of students. The article shows what kinds of potential opportunities are incorporated in vocational training which has socio-cultural focus. Practical tasks like that, according to the author, have a new role in realization of the concept of steady development of society in conditions of advancing type of education and professional development of the postindustrial epoch. The analysis of the state of affairs in the given sphere allows answering the question why underestimation of the role of social and cultural activity of students
