Annotation

The article touches upon the problem of environmental awareness of the society as a whole and of an individual. The essence of this process is examined. The author suggests the definition of an integral personality as an objective of environmental education and analyses the modern state of the environmental development of the student’s consciousness within the educational process. The author suggests her own vision of this problem.
