GOAL-SETTING ABILITY AS A COMPONENT OF GENERAL CULTURAL COMPETENCE AND INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL RESOURCE OF A TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENT

Annotation

The article proves that goal-setting ability, which includes the skill of detecting contradictions, formulating the purpose or generating it, studying, accepting and reflecting on the issue, can be considered as a component of general cultural competence in terms of the Federal State Education Standard for the field of engineering and technologies. It can also be seen as a resource of potential of self-determination and a part of innovative potential of the student. The analysis of experimental data indicates the need to develop this ability. According to the author, developing learning can become the foundation for development of goal-setting ability in academic activity, the subject of the focused approach. Cognitive interests of students, their personal values, such as detection and resolution of conflicts, self-development and creative skills, ability to make responsible choices and do tasks that rely on mechanisms of self-development promote development of this ability.
