Annotation

The article presents the results of reflection on the essence, content, principles and technologies of modern university pedagogical education. Higher education is considered to be the means of professional development in the context of globalization and humanization. As for the main principles, the authors mention: integrity, advancing education, culture congruence, learner-centeredness, variability and individualization, openness and collaboration, integration of education and science, creation of innovational micro-climate, creative environment for work of the university and its departments. The authors treat university pedagogical education as meta-education in relation to educational sphere in general. It is supposed to undertake the mission of being a real factor of advancing development of society and state via an individual.
