VALUE-RELATED AND CONCEPTUAL READINESS OF A FUTURE TEACHER FOR HEALTH-SAVING SUPPORT OF A CHILD

Annotation

The article deals with theoretical and practical aspects of developing value-related and conceptual readiness of students of higher pedagogical educational institutions for health promotion. The paper takes an attempt to make axiological judgment of the readiness of future teachers for health saving activity in the light of the latest legislative changes. Health promotion is considered to be one of the functions of education which consists in shaping students’ readiness for health-promoting activities connected with development of abilities, interests and tendencies of individuals, their life plans and values as well as the right attitude to health and a healthy lifestyle. According to the authors, in modern pedagogical education special attention is paid to the identity of a teacher as the main conductor of the information significant for society, the main stake-holder of educational process. This fact makes the given research especially relevant.
