CULTURAL SELF-IDENTIFICATION OF A TEACHER IN THE CONTEXT OF REFORMS IN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Annotation

The article covers outcomes of a micro-research into cultural self-identification of a teacher in the space of modern informational educational environment. The paper analyses distance/online learning carried out in the system of additional professional education. In particular, the author dwells on the four factors that are necessary for development of methodical support of educational process. According to the paper, they are: the stage of professional development of a teacher, style of gaining knowledge, level of knowledge, past experience and the system of values/preferences of a teacher. Content analysis of abundant textual material, critical analysis of the available literature on the issue under study, static processing of the obtained data and some other methods have allowed the author to reveal that the listed above factors allow a teacher to actively take part in the system of continuous professional education.
