STUDY INTO PROFESSIONAL MOTIVATION AND ORIENTATION OF PUPILS OF THE SCHOOL OF RESCUERS

Annotation

The issues of professional motivation and orientation of rescuers are raised in the paper. The authors claim the importance of patriotic education in development of social initiative and active life position of children and youth as well as development of educational centers of military-patriotic orientation. The paper also dwells on the significance of psychological readiness for successful professional self-determination of young people. The article presents the results of a comparative empirical study in which the following methods were used: methods of investigating labor motivation “Dictionary” by I.G. Kokurina, methods of investigating vocational motivation of students by L.A. Vereshchagina, I.L. Solomin’s “Orientation” questionnaire, statistical methods: Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, Mann–Whitney U-test. The conducted research has shown that professional motivation and orientation of students (cadets) of the school of rescuers and schoolchildren who are not engaged
