RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION IN THE NATIONAL PEDAGOGICS

Annotation

The article presents a retrospective analysis of problems of patriotic education of Russian teachers. The author has found out that the main source of methods of patriotic education was the people’s pedagogy, methods and values of which are repeatedly used by educators. Various interpretations of the essence of patriotic education among teachers of the middle of the 19th century are considered, similar judgments and principled interpretations are analyzed. The paper gives the general characteristic of the system of patriotic education in the Soviet Union as well as the works and ideas of the most famous teachers of the time. The article deals with the origin of modern patriotic guidance of children which was formed in the post-Soviet period and traces it up to the present time.
