CONVERGENT EDITION AS AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF STUDENT MEDIA PROJECT ACTIVITY

Annotation

The article deals with the project training of students who major in media in the process of media production. The authors justify the need to revise traditional pedagogical concepts and replace issuing “educational newspapers” by student groups by project networking teams created on the principle of convergence journalism. The research focuses on the modern system of convergence journalism, both in scientific and practical contexts. The authors draw analogy between the activities of professional editorial boards and student project teams and prove the need for a dramatic revision of the training of media departments’ students. This study represents a new approach to interdisciplinary communication of pedagogy, journalism, management and marketing. This allows developing new projections of media education, in particular, professional media education.
