METHOD OF COMPLEX EVALUATION OF TEACHING STAFF ACTIVITY EFFICIENCY AT TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS

Annotation

In order to increase objectivity of assessment of overall performance of teachers at technical departments, the author suggests using a complex rating system which includes indicators of quality assessment for academic, methodical and scientific work. It also has an individual indicator of quality that characterizes teacher’s achievements in scientific and pedagogical activity. Besides, assessment of methodical work is based on some indicators of quality of conducting classes and teaching staff’s activities aimed at development of educational materials and methodical support for disciplines which they give classes in. If students take part in research and work out methodical materials and technical resources, their teacher gets extra points for classroom management. The coefficient of academic work of the teacher for the reporting period (examination period, academic year) is calculated as an arithmetic average value of these coefficients obtained for the disciplines taught.
