THE RESULTS OF STUDYING HEARING-IMPAIRED PUPILS’ DIALOGICAL SPEECH FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THEIR SOCIAL ADAPTATION
Annotation
The article presents the results of experimental study of 4–7 grade hearingimpaired pupils’ dialogical speech. The author comes to the following conclusions: in general, hearing-impaired schoolchildren are passive dialogue partners; their remarks are short and unextended. In a dialogue hearing-impaired children show low communicative activity. Hearing-impaired children are reticent with their interlocutors, inattentive and seldom use speech etiquette formulae. They are unable to formulate their ideas consistently and precisely. They also often accompany or even replace dialogue remarks with gestures or hand alphabet. The results of research reflected in the article prove the necessity of special work aimed at development of dialogical speech as means of social adaptation of 4-7 grade hearing-impaired pupils. The given article might be useful for teachers and students of pedagogical high schools and special (correction) educational institutions.Key words
dialogical speech, social adaptation, hearing-impaired pupils.
