PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING FINE ART IN RUSSIAN ORPHANAGES

Annotation

At present in Russia there is a tendency of reducing the number of orphanages, but the number of orphans in the country is not decreasing and may increase due to the tense economic situation. The necessity of individual approach to a student that would require more preparatory work for the teachers, such as the study of students’ personal records and diagnostic tasks, interviews, tests, graphics dictations, is discussed in the article. The article also looks into the issue of enhancing the educational influence of lessons of fine art, which should be directed at deviant behavior prevention and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. The importance of socialization, preparation for professional activities which could be achieved by means of the lessons of fine arts is noted. The author pays attention to specific features of behavior and students’ psychology at orphanages.
