Annotation

In the article the condition of training modern economists in higher school is characterised. The role of disciplines of general educational and special cycles in the development of professional knowledge and skills is analysed. The author also specifies their role in transition to the two-level educational system. For bachelors especially significant is the problem of developing professional qualities of future specialists through disciplines of the general educational cycle. The article reveals didactic and methodological conditions of realisation of professional orientation principle of teaching general educational cycle disciplines for students of economic faculties
