Annotation

Family competence as orientation of a person to family values and priorities, children, family way of life, acts as a part of the general competence and an indicator of personal and social self-realisation of a student. Another important factor of family competence development at the young age is mutual relations of the subject with the educational environment able to render effective support in his/her personal formation. The article presents basic theoretical points of research of family competence of the youth and a complex of pedagogical conditions ensuring its development in the educational process in the modern university environment.
